Accounts Receivable Specialist – Full-time/ temporary

POSITION: Accounts Receivable Specialist

LOCATION: Lincoln – Administrative Office

STATUS: Full-time / Temporary

DURATION: Minimum of 6 months

EXEMPT/NON-EXEMPT: Non-exempt

WORK SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday, 40 hours / wk., 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

SUMMARY: Provide temporary coverage for accounts receivable specialist leave of absence.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:  

  • Responsible for posting of charges
  • Performs patient account research
  • Performs posting of payments and EOB analysis
  • Responsible for identification and correction of billing errors
  • Performs aging analysis
  • Responsible for collections activities
  • Corrects posted charges
  • Performs reconciliation of posted, paid, and denied claims
  • Creates and disburses patient statements
  • Processes daily receipt of payments

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Medical billing experience preferred
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Works as a team player, but can work independently
  • Must be organized and able to meet deadlines
  • Computer literate, quick learner, and attention to detail
