Receptionist – Lincoln (Walk-in Care)
Position Location: Lincoln (Walk-in Care)
Hours: Full time – 40 hrs./wk.
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, 6:45 am – 5:15 pm; Thursday off.
Primary duties:
- Greet patients and visitors with professional and high-quality customer service.
- Answer telephone and refers calls as appropriate.
- Create accurate and complete messages for the providers and support staff.
- Utilize the electronic medical record for documentation for all patient interaction.
- Collect, verify, and input all pertinent patient demographics into the electronic medical record at each concurrent visit making necessary changes if needed, including insurance and responsible party information.
- Ensure patients have completed updated Demographics every 365 days or sooner if updates are needed.
- If appropriate, contact the on-call provider regarding after-hours messages.
- If appropriate, contact the on-call provider regarding after-hours messages.
- Assess whether patients have cultural or linguistic barriers and arrange for an interpreter if needed.
- Review appointment history and follow up as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must have excellent customer service skills
- Must be proficient with computers
- Must be able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Health care reception experience preferred
