Receptionist – Lincoln (Walk-in Care)

Position Location: Lincoln (Walk-in Care)

Hours: Full time – 40 hrs./wk.

Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, 6:45 am – 5:15 pm; Thursday off.

Primary duties:

  • Greet patients and visitors with professional and high-quality customer service.
  • Answer telephone and refers calls as appropriate.
  • Create accurate and complete messages for the providers and support staff.
  • Utilize the electronic medical record for documentation for all patient interaction.
  • Collect, verify, and input all pertinent patient demographics into the electronic medical record at each concurrent visit making necessary changes if needed, including insurance and responsible party information.
  • Ensure patients have completed updated Demographics every 365 days or sooner if updates are needed.
  • If appropriate, contact the on-call provider regarding after-hours messages.
  • If appropriate, contact the on-call provider regarding after-hours messages.
  • Assess whether patients have cultural or linguistic barriers and arrange for an interpreter if needed.
  • Review appointment history and follow up as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Must have excellent customer service skills
  • Must be proficient with computers
  • Must be able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Health care reception experience preferred
