With the arrival of COVID-19 in Maine and the call for all of us to practice social distancing, it’s important to us that you can still get the care you need. That’s why we want to tell you about our new telehealth (virtual care) options to ensure you receive the care you need, while you stay safe in the comfort of your own home.
Telehealth visits work just like face to face visits with your provider and happen over video. Using a computer or cell phone, you can see and hear your provider and they can see and hear you. You can talk about your condition(s), symptoms, get a prescription, get a diagnosis, get counseling, and more.
You can now schedule a telehealth appointment with your primary care provider or behavioral health provider, just like you would a visit to our office.
How to schedule a telehealth visit.

Most insurance companies cover telehealth visits.
More and more insurers are allowing telehealth options to limit community exposure to COVID-19. If you have questions about whether your insurance will cover telehealth for an upcoming visit, please call your insurance provider.
Patient privacy and telehealth.
We use Zoom software for our telehealth visits, which is secure and designed to ensure that your privacy is protected. Our providers can confirm your information is secure and our efforts remain HIPAA compliant on our end. With this being a virtual visit, we cannot confirm privacy on your end from your home. We will make sure to share this with you at each visit, and ask if you would like to proceed before continuing your virtual appointment.
